March Celebrations

National Craft Month

Celebrate National Craft Month by making something unique and special for your apartment. Make these fun Vintage Map Coasters from eHow. To make them you’ll need a birch plywood board, a miter saw, vintage screws, scissors, a tape measure, an electric sander, Mod Podge, a sponge brush, spray polyurethane, a hot glue gun, and twine. You could also try your hand at making Painted Folding Chairs from Design For Mankind. To make these chairs you'll need folding chairs, a screwdriver, a drop cloth, spray paint, fabric, scissors, and a staple gun and staples.

National Nutrition Month

Need some weekend plans? Celebrate National Nutrition Month by visiting The Grove Cafe & Market. "The Grove Cafe & Market opened its doors in June of 2006, in Albuquerque New Mexico’s trendy Edo neighborhood. Owned and operated by Jason and Lauren Greene, The Grove quickly became Albuquerque’s favorite breakfast, brunch, and lunch cafe serving up the finest local food, in a fun, casual atmosphere...The Grove believes in supporting local farmers and sustainable agriculture. Our food is sourced from growers and producers from Albuquerque and throughout New Mexico, as well as the Southwest region. We use local and organic whenever possible and always the highest quality ingredients available." The Grove Cafe & Market is about an 8 minute drive from Valley View Villas. Happy National Nutrition Month!

For the topping you’ll need heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, coconut extract, and toasted coconut. If you need a chocolate fix, try out this The Best Brownie Pie from Crazy for Crust. Book Suggestions

The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan (2017)

“A charming, clever, and quietly moving debut novel of endless possibilities and joyful discoveries that explores the promises we make and break, losing and finding ourselves, the objects that hold magic and meaning for our lives, and the surprising connections that bind us.”

The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde (1895)

“Here is Oscar Wilde's most brilliant tour de force, a witty and buoyant comedy of manners that has delighted millions in countless productions since its first performance in London's St. James' Theatre on February 14, 1895. The Importance of Being Earnest is celebrated not only for the lighthearted ingenuity of its plot, but for its inspired dialogue, rich with scintillating epigrams still savored by all who enjoy artful conversation.”
